The art of auto-styling taken to the next level.
As part of a promotional campaign, H&R Springs set out on a North American tour with a massaged 2003 VW Eurovan.
In cooperation with Volkswagen of America, several of the high-performance spring manufacturer's representatives piloted the vehicle to various industry events across the country; its first stop was at the 2002 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
A rolling showcase of various aftermarket parts and accessories, the Eurovan is equipped with H&R's Cup Kit suspension package. Designed to improve stability and handling, the kit includes street-calibrated high-performance shock absorbers and specially rated lowering springs. In addition, the front torsion bar has been adjusted to better suit the vehicle's modified ride height; it lowers the van by 1.6 in.
Special one-off-fitment Mille Miglia Evo5 19-in. wheels nicely fill the fenders and are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza 255/40ZR-19 tires. A complete Projectzwo body package was also installed; it not only adds a much-needed element of style but softens the EuroVan's characteristic boxy panels. The body kit, obtained from RPI, includes a front bumper spoiler, grille, DE projector lamps, headlamp-cleaning system, door runner spacers and tailgate molding. Stongard Transparent auto protection was also applied, specifically made for the body kit.
The promo machine's flanks wear on each side photo-realistic VW logo graphics, as well as those of H&R and The Tire Rack.
"The H&R EuroVan project is aimed at enthusiasts who are looking for a unique, functional and stylish vehicle that can support an active lifestyle," said company president Roland Graef. "Our dedicated suspension system simply rounds out the package."
