Milltek Sport exhaust
The Milltek Sport exhaust system gives the BMW 1 Series M Coupe a true sports car presence that’s worthy of the M nomenclature. Milltek’s exhaust is manufactured from anti-magnetic T304 aircraft-grade stainless steel and is available in a primary (eliminates the secondary catalytic converters) and secondary cat-back system. Both systems are manufactured out of 3-inch (73.2mm) mandrel-bent piping and finished in quad 80mm GT80 exhaust tips to add beauty and sound to the 1 Series. Company tests showed the reduced backpressure and optimized flow gained an average increase of 16 horsepower with the primary system and 5 horsepower with the secondary cat-back system.
CP-E Cast Stainless Downpipe
Custom Performance Engineering’s (cp-e) cast stainless downpipe for the BMW 3.0L N55 TwinPower turbo engine takes aftermarket performance parts to an entirely new level. Designed with a FARO Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), the cp-e 5-inch cast stainless downpipe flanges, sensor location and mounting points are within 0.010-inch of the stock locations. The bellmouth design minimizes backpressure and optimizes flow. The downpipe comes with a lifetime warranty and is available with or without a cp-e custom-designed high-flow catalytic converter. $759 (+ $200 for a Spun Metallic cat)
Custom Performance Engineering
Vorshlag camber/caster plates are designed to fit the E90/E92/E93 M3 coupe and convertible, and the plates’ modular spring perch allows them to be used with coilover springs and virtually any strut type. The upper perch design allowed Vorshlag to add a sealed, double-row radial bearing to isolate the 19mm spherical bearing in the camber plate from radial turning loads of the strut shaft. In addition to being able to independently adjust camber and caster, they are designed for maximum suspension (bump) travel. Maximum camber adjustments of -2 to -3.5 degrees, depending on ride height, can be done easily with basic tools. Prices start at $439
Macht Schnell DCT Gauge Boss
In recent years BMWs have developed an annoying habit of going into limp mode whenever the fluid temperature goes beyond what BMW thinks is acceptable. A slight increase in horsepower, a weekend at the track, a spirited drive down Mulholland Dr. or a tour of Texas can sideline DCT-equipped M3s without warning. Unlike other critical fluids, the DCT gives the driver no indication of impending doom. The Macht Schnell DCT Gauge Boss dual 1/8-inch port design allows for the installation of temperature gauges to read DCT fluid temperatures both before and after the heat exchanger, giving you time to make the necessary adjustments to prevent the ECU from going into limp mode. $139
Dinan Stage 2 Performance Engine Software
Since 1979, Dinan has been developing and manufacturing high-performance parts for BMW. This long-term heritage lets them match the factory 4-year/50,000-mile warranty. So if you purchase Dinan Stage 2 performance engine software for the BMW 3.0L N55 turbo from one of their 130+ dealers (most of which are BMW dealerships) you will not have to fear your service appointments. The Stage 2 software utilizes full map rescaling, for improved drivability from idle to wide open throttle and everywhere in between, increased water pump speed and optimized fuel and boost calibrations. The result is a peak power increase to 355 at 5300 rpm and peak torque of 401 lb-ft at 3500 rpm. The Dinan software retains all BMW factory engine damage safeguards and offers lifetime upgrade and no additional charge. $1,999

JL Audio StealthMod
Tired of ripping off panels and the rattles that magically occur once said panels are reinstalled just to enhance your stereo system? Designed as a complete audio system upgrade, the JL Audio StealthMod for the ’07-up BMW X5 (E70) eliminates all of the guesswork out of system design and the need for extensive modifications and fabrications. The X5 StealthMod contains a single Stealthbox with a 1-W3v3-2 subwoofer driver that installs beneath the passenger-side cargo floor, one XD700/5 system amplifier with custom mounting bracket, one CL-SSI signal summing interface, one pair of C5-075ct tweeters, and one pair of C5-525-XO crossovers. The system also comes with a complete wiring harness and an illustrated installation and setup instruction book that’s so easy to follow it should be titled “StealthMod for Dummies.” $1,900
JL Audio Inc
One of the biggest design flaws of the factory E46 BMW M3 radiator is the plastic crimp on the end tanks, and over time they start to leak. So why replace a defective part with a flawed factory part that will just leak again? For roughly the same price as a factory replacement, you can get a direct bolt-in replacement from Mishimoto.
The all-aluminum construction and dual-pass design increases cooling capacity by 30 percent, making it the perfect choice for the performance enthusiast or someone looking for maximum reliably. Plus, the Mishimoto radiator is backed by a lifetime warranty. $425
When I first heard about the Sprint Booster for BMW, my mind instantly flashed with the thought of automotive snake oil, just too good to be true—like fuel magnets. Slightly skeptical but always optimistic I immediately ordered one, feeling that there would be some merit with the drive by wire technology being used on modern BMWs. The new unit still acts a go-between, helping the ECU better understand the driver’s true intent with the electronic pedal, plus an added benefit of Off, Stage 1 and Stage 2 settings. So now when you press the go-faster pedal, the engine instantly responds and gives you a more connected feel. $350

Snow Performance Stage 3 Boost Cooler System
The stock intercoolers that come as part of turbocharged BMW engines, to be honest, are a joke. They are extremely inefficient and easily susceptible to heat soak. Snow Performance’s Stage 3 Boost cooler system is a perfect solution for a stock or modified BMW to stave off the dreaded head-induced limp mode during a day of spirited driving. The brains behind the Stage 3 setup is a digital variable mapping controller that creates a methanol delivery map based on user preference and boost pressure. The Snow Performance meth/H20 system can be tuned to generate more horsepower or just help you maintain the factory level of performance lap after lap. Prices start at $760
Whiteline Front and Rear Sway Bars
Whiteline’s larger 27mm front and 20mm rear sway bars are designed to boost handling and performance. And upgrading the sway bars on BMW’s E82/E88 1 Series and E90/92/E93 3 Series can help improve traction, increase cornering speed, eliminate under- or oversteer and reduce body roll. The bars are manufactured from spring steel and then powdercoated to provide strength and durability. Knowing the driving style of many BMW drivers, Whiteline’s bushing feature a lateral locking system to prevent their high-performance synthetic elastomer bushings from shifting under heavy cornering. $229 (each)

ECS Tuning Ziza LED
Designed to eliminate the yellowish hue as well as increase visibility in the interior of your BMW, Ziza LED master upgrade lighting kits by ECS Tuning are easy to install and give your vehicle a more upscale appearance. While the contents and LED style (wedge or festoon) found in each master kit vary by application, typical replacements include trunk, front footwell, puddle, front and rear dome, vanity mirror and glovebox light bulbs.
Motul 8100 X-clean C3
Pouring inferior oil that does not meet the manufacturer’s viscosity or quality standards is like mainlining Crisco into the heart of your BMW, and it’s the quickest way to cause long-term damage. BMW-approved or “spec oil” is more than just a list of suggested oil brands—they are products that have been BMW tested and certified in terms of quality that ensure performance, longevity, emissions and mileage. Motul 8100 X-clean C3 has received the LL04 approval from BMW that states it meets the requirements necessary to maintain your factory warranty. Beware of other oils (that shall remain nameless) that claim to be backed by BMW and meet or exceed OEM specifications.

Acting as a second Engine Control Unit (ECU), the power module features original equipment connectors, which makes installation and removal as fast as your car will be. Intensive development work in the lab and at the track allows the Kelleners Sport power module to deliver greater fuel efficiency under normal driving conditions and an additional 60 horsepower and 66 lb-ft of torque under full throttle. $1,960
As soon as the BMW 1 Series M coupe was released, GIAC engineers snatched one up and went right to work on developing software to extract more power from the latest M code. Designed to work with the factory hardware (no additional mods required), the GIAC Stage 1 software offers up gains of 35 to 60 horsepower and 15 to 30 lb-ft of torque depending on octane and mode used. The GIAC Stage 2 takes the 1 Series M to an entirely different level. However, it requires an upgraded intake, intercooler, and exhaust system, although the downpipe upgrade is optional. Stage 2 boasts horsepower gains of 70 to 110 and torque gains of 35 to 60 lb-ft, depending on the program mode and fuel octane. GIAC software doesn’t fully take over, the factory ECU still retains overboost mode, M mode and all of other 1 Series M specific programming. Stage 1 $900. Stage 2 $1000. Handheld Flashloader $150. Optional Programs: Stock $100, Race $200, Valet $100
Vorsteiner GTS-V Front Spoiler
The newly designed Vorsteiner GTS-V front spoiler for the BMW M3 was developed with performance and track functionality at its core. The monocoque spoiler and diffuser pan are constructed with a pre-preg carbon/Kevlar mix that adds superior stiffness, aerospace strength and durability, and a five-layer clear lacquer coating that provides maximum UV protection and shine.
Bilstein B12 Suspension Kits

When optimizing the suspension on the BMW E9X 3 Series, one of the most overlooked components are the stock rubber bushings. Under extreme cornering situations, the soft, factory bushings start to flex, distort and, with repeated abuse, will even tear, which prevents the tire from making optimal contact with the road. The Powerflex urethane rear radius and lateral arm bushing set will ensure that the rear axle of your BMW stays put, increasing handling, acceleration and braking all while decreasing tire wear. $130 (per set) (Additional component bushing sets available, prices vary.)
