I'm also in need of a replacement for the center console, as the wife put far too much weight on it and caused some pain and discontent to my poor Jetta. Other than the local authorized dealer which I already contacted via e-mail, any other options? P.S. I don't know whether to start a new thread or just mention it here, but I recently purchased my 2002 Jetta 1.8T and would like to go replace the oil, all the filters, and possibly the battery and spark plugs just to sorta revamp the car a bit. Would this be a total money waster, and if not, since I have an auto shop on my military base that will show me how to do everything myself, where can I purchase the parts myself online without spending more money than I should? I'm relatively new to this scene. Any and all help, comments, or congrats on finally moving on from Toyota corollas appreciated. :p -Paul

When I first start the car,it runs perfectly. As soon as it reaches operating temperature it has a low-rpm misfire (idle to 2500rpm). It's quite noticeable in neutral revving it up, but is extreme when trying to drive the car. Once you get above the 2500rpm,it smooths out a little, allowing you to apply more throttle. The engine light will come on, but not always. I scanned it once and it said the crank sensor was bad. I replaced it and got no results. Do you have any suggestions as to what to try next. Thank you in advance.

It's most notable features were a hardtop that pivoted and dropped down behind the seats without needing to fold (The rear of the car was high enough and the top short enough that it disappeared into the bodywork) and it had headlight "flaps" that dropped flat in front of the lights to expose them when they turned on. I have an F430 I purchased about a year ago. I am looking to supercharge the engine. I have heard both positive and negative feedback with regard to novitec's supercharger engine packages. I am interested in hearing of any positive or negative experiences working with Novitec and any issues or problems you had. I am potentially considering customizing the supercharging with a different company...and with this company, they will touch the engine. I know there are those who are against touching the ferrari engine, but I do not have that concern....I just want the ultimate result. With Novitec, I have heard that you cannot achieve the ultimate desired result by only slapping on a supercharger package from Novitec, but that you must actually alter the engine along with the supercharger package to get the best result. Pls advise. I need to make a decision quickly...Appreciate your help. Pls send me a private message if you prefer (vs. post).

It was bought new here in New Zealand back then and only has 123k on it. It is in a very original condition and is really nice to drive apart from the issue I have with high revving on start up. Whether it is hot or cold the engine will rev at about 1500rpm and when i am braking it takes a fair bit to stop it with it being automatic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
