Project BMW E36 M3 - Part 27
Where is Project Porsche 951?By now, many of you probably thought we gave up on this project. But the truth couldn't be further. The car has been at Precision Motion's shop in Riverside, Calif, for over nine months for an engine overhaul to freshen up the piston rings and other engine internals. I'm sure it could have been completed a lot sooner if A) I hadn't moved away from California and B) Precision Motion wasn't moving to a new facility itself. The combo backed things way up but we're moving forward and are days away from cranking her over. The car will be sporting a refreshed cylinder head by Fumio Fukaya Enterprises, a slightly more aggressive camshaft from Web Cam, a bunch of factory replacement parts from Performance Products, and a Link stand-alone engine management system from Performance Developments.
