The AC Hydraulics release mechanism is wonderful, preventing accidental release and including a dead-man safety function: If the operator lets go of the handle, the car stops coming down. By listening to the oil flowing, the rate of descent can be controlled very precisely. AC Hydraulics jacks are made in Denmark, where they're probably considering taxing burps; it's so expensive to manufacture there that it's only worth making the very best quality.
