The 328ic calipers have 38/19 cast into the outer surface for rapid identification. The 19 indicates disc thickness, and 38 indicates the piston diameter. Other E36 rear calipers have 36mm pistons. This upgrade increases rear brake torque by 11.4%, which is within the range for optimum performance on an E36 325is, in addition to the cooling benefits. View Related Article
