Jaguar has recently been making a splash in the automotive community with the new F-
Type, continuing the legendary line of Jaguar sports cars. But to this very day, one is set
apart from the rest - the E-Type.
Even the great Enzo Ferrari was quoted saying that E-Types were 'the most beautiful car
ever made'. One prime example of the E-Type is set to be auctioned at the Historics at
Brooklands (near Weybridge, Surrey), on May 31st.
This rare E is one of the last left-hand drive Series One models to leave the Browns lane
factory in Coventry. The 1967 4.2-liter black beauty (with a low 50000 miles) is expected
to bring anywhere from $142000 to $168058. A full two-year intensive nut and bolt
restoration, along with enhancements to the engine, gearbox and even braking and
suspension upgrades should justify the waving of any true E-Type fan's paddle.
