Mini aims to set an international world record by taking a convoy of Minis to Rovaniemi in the Arctic Circle. They’ll be bringing Christmas letters to Santa Claus written by children and adults from around the world.

At the same time, Mini will be competing for an Official Guinness World Records attempt by trying to assemble the longest wish list to Santa. In order to set this record, the company has involved 16 markets including Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. Outside Europe, Russia, USA and Singapore will also join the event.

The adventure will begin on November 24 when the Mini family will leave BMW HQ in Munich and drive 1860 miles “one way” to Rovaniemi. The entire Mini family will be on the tour, including the new Paceman, described as the company’s first Sports Activity Coupe in the compact premium segment and the seventh model in the Mini family.

Joining them on the tour will be Rauno Aaltonen, the winner of the famous 1967 Monte Carlo Rally in a Mini, who will demonstrate his talent behind the wheel of a Paceman when the cars arrive.
