It will never be called a girlie car again. The SLK hard-top roadster has grown a considerable set of attachments—and they have an AMG badge. The most important ingredient for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG is a 5.5-liter V8 engine that’s turbocharged to come up with 415 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. This has been bolted to a seven-speed, multi-mode automatic transmission driving the rear wheels, sending the car from standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
