- SIM and Eastwood's new partnership provides tools to each of SIM's tech centers for various projects
- SIM owns a number of automotive enthusiast brands and some specifically deal with tech related content
- Eastwood is a Pennsylvania based tool manufacturer that will be providing SIM with tools
Source Interlink Media (the parent company of both european car and eurotuner) has joined with The
Eastwood Company for a multi-year agreement. SIM's knowledge of automotive enthusiast brands and
Eastwood's 35 years of providing those same enthusiasts with products to get the job done, these two
could not be a better fit.
Eastwood is a Pennsylvania based tool manufacturer that will be providing SIM's three tech centers with
tools, for the hundreds of projects that occur each year. The enthusiast brands that will take the most
advantage of this new partnership include: Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Four Wheeler, Import Tuner, Circle
Track, and Street Rodder.
"This partnership will bring together two companies at the core of the automotive DIY universe;
allowing our readers to experience everything Eastwood's tools have to offer, while arming our industry-
leading content creators with the products our readers need to know about. We look forward to
bringing these restoration and modification stories to the Source Interlink audience in all mediums that
we cover, including print, online in images, video and social media," said Doug Evans, Executive Vice-
President and Group Publisher of SIM's Performance Automotive Group.
David Freiburger, VP, Content Creation and Brand Development, Hot Rod commented, "During the
content creation process, every one of the 60 plus auto and truck enthusiast media portals face repair
and modification challenges, both in our tech centers and elsewhere. In fact, many of the Eastwood
tools will also be available for editors in situations outside of our tech facilities, including those used in
paint and body work, heavy fabrication, and other drivetrain modifications."
The new partnership between SIM and Eastwood will also focus on creating How-To Videos, Tech
articles and other useful information all through the website CarDomain.com - also SIM owned. The
leading social media portal for car enthusiasts and aftermarket business (CarDomain.com) will be going
through a complete redesign in the first quarter of 2014.
Brian Huck, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at The Eastwood Company added, "We are very excited
and optimistic about the opportunity that this partnership brings; it will allow both Source Interlink and
Eastwood to further connect with the broader Automotive Enthusiast market. The combination of our
ability to develop unique products and solutions for consumers with Source's unsurpassed ability to
create useful and engaging content should drive the entire market forward in a positive way."
