Land Rover is known worldwide for blending luxury and versatility. Whether you're aim is to drive off-road or around town in a luxury, Land Rover has got you covered. Now, two new variants are to debut at
the upcoming LA Auto Show in November featuring added luxury and comfort.
Range Rover Long-Wheelbase
If more leg room is what you are looking for, then the Long-Wheelbase (LWB) variant is for you. With
5.5in more available rear seat legroom than the standard models, 'are we there yet' will be a thing of
the past. When equipped with the optional executive seating package, seatback reclining is increased by
17 degrees. All of this extra room is achieved by lengthening the unibody in the front and rear wheels.
The signature floating roof and silhouette of the Range Rover are retained. While the LWB variants will
initially be available on Supercharged and Autobiography trim levels, two interior options will be
available: three-across bench seat or individual rear seats with a center console. The individual rear
seats have the ability to recline 17 degrees, which is a full eight degrees more than the Standard-wheelbase models. All LWB models will be equipped with standard powered door blinds and panoramic
sunroof as well as the 'L' badge on the lower front door trims.
The Long-wheelbase variants will debut at the 2013 LA Auto Show on November 20-21 while deliveries
are expected to start late in the first quarter of 2014.
Range Rover Autobiography Black
Created as a limited edition flagship model, Autobiography Black has been designed and engineered by
Jaguar Land Rover's 'Engineered to Order' (ETO) division ensuring an exceptionally luxurious vehicle.
The exterior has been slightly refreshed in order to set the Autobiography Black variant apart from the
rest of the lineup. The front grille and side vents along with badging is finished in enamel and chrome.
Signature rear lights and chrome accents finish the rear while auxiliary vents at the front offer a unique
look. A new addition that further differentiates it from the rest are 7-spoke 21in high-gloss polished
wheels, which are exclusive to Autobiography Black.
The interior offers improved luxury and comfort. An individualized front and rear seat package is
available with a bespoke design. And individualized they are, with seat memory foam and climate
control available for the front and rear seats. A massage function is available with 18-way front seat
adjustable upper seat articulation.
The rear is where luxury and convenience come together to create the ultimate road trip experience.
The seats are fully adjustable with a center console that offers a multitude of conveniences.
Electronically deployable tables covered in black leather with integrated USB charging sockets and cup
holders are featured. Additional cup holders can be found in the chiller compartment.
LED lighting throughout can be adjusted to suite the mood of the cabin. Leather is seen within the cabin
while three-color combinations will be available: Ebony/Lunar, Espresso/Tan, and Cherry/Ivory (includes
dual-tone seats on the latter of the three). And if you're the type to get bored easily on long trips, there
are 10.2in rear seat entertainment screens - the right side rear seat features a powered recliner calf rest
for an even more comfortable ride.
