  • Deal includes tire exclusivity for three classes of the inaugural 2014 United SportsCar Racing series

  • Continental remains title sponsor for IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge

In 2010, Continental Tire became the title sponsor and tire supplier for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC). In 2011, it became the official tire of GRAND-AM and the tire supplier for both the CTSCC and Rolex Series. Today, the tire company and the International Motor Sports Association joined forces in another exciting multi-year partnership.

The partnership will make Continental Tire the exclusive tire supplier in three different classes of next year's inaugural United SportsCar Racing season, which begins with the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January. Continental'a tires will be used exclusively for the Prototype, Prototype Challenge, and GT Dayton classes, while the GT Le Mans category is open to multiple tire suppliers.

The brand will also return as the title sponsor and exclusive tire supplier for the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC), currently sanctioned by GRAND-AM Road Racing. While technical specifications will be unaffected, starting next year IMSA sanctioning will go into affect. This is the result of a merger between GRAND-AM, IMSA, and American Le Mans. CTSCC and United SportsCar Racing will run under IMSA sanctioning.

Continental ExtremeContact race tires will continue to be used. In addition to supplying tires, Continental will provide top-notch at-track support at all United SportsCar Racing and CTSCC events along with a full presence that includes logo placement on cars, at-track hospitality, signage, event entitlements and other marketing initiatives.
