Ferrari SA Aperta
The Pininfarina studio is just as legendary as the Ferrari road cars that bear its designs. In recognition of eight decades creating automotive beauty, the Scuderia has made an extremely limited edition version of the 599. Only 80 examples of this V12-engined roadster will be made and its official name is the SA Aperta. S and A signify Sergio (Pininfarina’s honorary chairman) and Andrea (grandson of Battista Pinin Farina, who founded the company 80 years ago). Aperta is Italian for open. The company claims that although it’s an open-top car, it is just as stiff as a coupe but without the accompanying weight. It also has a super-low ride height. Because of the many options available, it’s doubtful whether any two models will be identical.
