G-Power is a German BMW tuning house based in the same Bavarian locale. And it has just set the record for the fastest sedan in the world. Starting with an E60 M5, it slapped a couple of superchargers onto the V10 engine to get 800 hp (with 590 lb-ft of peak torque chiming in at 5000 rpm), fitted a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and called the car the Hurricane RR. Standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) took a mere 4.35 seconds, while its top speed was recorded at 232.5 mph. And G-Power says it will make Hurricane RR cars for sale.
