Just to let you know what the Frenchies are up to, Citroën has driven its Survolt all-electric racing car concept around the Le Mans circuit. And at the wheel was racer Vanina Ickx, daughter of Belgian F1 driver Jacky Ickx. The Survolt has two electric motors that make around 300 hp. It can hit 60 mph from standstill in under five seconds and attain a top speed of 162 mph. Energy is stored in two lithium-ion battery packs, giving the car a range of 124 miles between charges-which can take only two hours with the right recharge system. Not the most impressive performance figures, but it's good to see Citroën getting involved in something like this.
