The super-sophisticated Mercedes-Benz CL-Class coupe is being refreshed for 2011. And one of the neat things about it is the inclusion of some serious safety features. And one of the neat things about these features is they're highly integrated. That is, the links between cameras, radar sensors, braking and steering systems can be used for blind spot detection and avoidance, inadvertent lane changing, and intelligent cruise control-which is something of a first in automotive safety. The car also has Attention Assist to help keep the driver alert. But here's a wild thought: How about pumping oxygen into the car when it detects a sleepy driver, like they do in Vegas casinos to keep all the punters awake?
