Please don't throw up or give birth in the back of this. It's called the Quaranta and that super-sleek styling comes from the legendary Giugiaro design house (currently being bought by VW) in celebration of its 40th anniversary. The Quaranta is a working concept. Working being the operative word, because it's been pulling duty as a taxi, hacking around the streets of Rome and picking up fares. The 268-hp drivetrain (presumably all-wheel-drive) comes from a 2008 Lexus RX400h, making it a Toyota hybrid arrangement with a 3.3-liter V6 and electric motors plus a CVT transmission. Pay the driver a decent tip and he might even demonstrate the zero to 60 mph time of just 4.2 seconds.
