Rolls-Royce Phantom Armoured
Quite Literally, It's Bulletproof
This is an armored version of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Engineered to VR7 level, the highest current international protection rating, the Phantom Armoured is virtually indistinguishable from the standard Phantom inside and out. But it features high-tech fiber composites and special-purpose steel, while glazed areas consist of thickened glass. A polycarbonate layer is fitted to the inside for extra protection. The armoring process is carried out by Mutec, a specialist coach-builder. The aluminum spaceframe chassis and suspension components have been strengthened to cope with the additional weight; however, power output is unchanged at 453 hp and 530 lb-ft. As well as ballistic security, the new package offers the same luxury, refinement and comfort you'd expect in a Rolls. This Phantom Armoured will be available initially in Europe and the Middle East. On the other hand, you could buy a less conspicuous car.
