Function outweighs form in the SLR cockpit,dominated by a large, aluminum center console. The radio/nav system is behind the "SLR" flap; below it are the climate controls; and to the top are the two dials which determine the automatic transmission's three shift programs and the speed of the gearshifts. Between those dials is the switch to operate the trunk-lid-mounted airbrake. Simple analog dials and the absence of cupholders underscore the functional design theme. View Related Article
