First Look: 2003 Porsche Cayenne S
|
The Turbo model's standard front and rear suspension setup is based on the one found on the S. At the front: independent double-track control arms (aluminum at the top, spheroidal cast steel at the bottom) attached by way of extra-large elastic rubber mounts to its own high-strength steel subframe. At the rear : independent multi-arm (aluminum at the top, steel plate at the bottom) also mounted on a high-strength steel subframe. The difference is in the full-loadbearing air spring struts with integrated shocks, PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) shock system with on-demand, infinite shock force control.
