What I especially enjoy about the interior is the use of products that complement the existing trim. Heico Sportiv, once again, provided the interior accessories. The brushed satin aluminum finish of the pedal set, door pins and leather shift knob gives a consistent feel and look throughout vehicle. The aluminum finish matches the center console, arm rest inserts and door pulls. It gives the S40 the look of a proper tuner car, instead of a mishmash of products thrown together out of the discount bin.
Volvo has done a fine job of infusing performance into its new vehicles. With a reasonable entry price, the S40 could do quite well in bringing in younger buyers who might otherwise look to a different marque into Volvo's fold. I never would have thought one could be so inconspicuous in a lowered, bright red, turbocharged car, but this Volvo S40 will definitely change opinions.
