Though not an official factory effort, Aston Martin did supply engines to the Nimrod FIA Group C prototype that also raced in IMSA from 1982-85. A Nimrod finished seventh at Le Mans in 1982. Pictured here is the 1989 Aston Martin AMR1 Group C car, a short-lived joint venture between Aston Martin and Ecurie Ecosse racing, powered by a Reeves Calloway-tuned version of the production Virage V8. An AMR1 finished 11th at the 1989 Le Mans race.
