In its second year, MPact East is a festival for BMW and exotic-car owners, gathering enthusiasts from across the East Coasts to the Camden Yards sports complex in Baltimore, MD.
With the West Coast movement bringing its act East, with events like Bimmerfest and WekFest also establishing a Right Coast presence, MPact wanted to create an event similar to MFest’s annual event in Las Vegas.
The event corralled exotics such as Ferraris and Lamborghinis, along with an endless procession of BMWs. Not only did they have the show area but BMWCCA has set-up an autocross sanctioned to give attendees the chance to put their vehicles through the course.
Dyno Dynamics Mobile continued the high performance theme with its mobile dyno that attracted everything from sleepers to race-ready M3s.
Among the many cars on display, a few cars caught our eye, including Jai Nayar from Team Solo, whose M3 Vert showed off an Active Autowerke supercharger kit and an unusual Corvette brake conversion behind polished HRE wheels.
Steve Greathouse had created a track-ready 1M, complete with matte black body and ton of carbon fiber for weight reduction. The interior had Sparco seats with harnesses, and a half cage in the back.
AutoCouture Motoring came out to support the event with a number of their rides to show off their work.
With so much for people to do, MPact put on a great event. They gathered a large crowd and were able to able to raise $5000 for the Wounded Warrior Project, which was matched by Custom Performance Innovations to bring the total to $10,000.
