(Beverly Hills, CA May 9th, 2012) Now in its third year, the Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance is rapidly becoming a household name amongst notable collectors around the globe. Remarkably this year’s event produced a sold out crowd of 3000 people enjoying the grounds of the Greystone Mansion.

What makes Greystone so special is the mansion itself. In true Los Angeles fashion you can enjoy priceless pieces of automotive history throughout the courtyards of the lavish estate. Surrounded by gems like a 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C Short Chassis Zagato Spyder (this year’s Best in Show winner), or even four antique Bugattis (among them a 1939 Bugatti Type 57C). A total 13 classes of cars were present ranging from American classics, a preservation class and various manufacture classes. Making Greystone a “Must Attend” event in Los Angeles purely on rare vehicle sightings alone.

Seeing as the Concourse is in its third year, it’s hard to believe that this type of show wasn’t put on sooner. Speaking with head organizer Jeffrey Brynan stated, “We are happy to bring back the Greystone Mansion Concours to the city of Beverly Hills and plan to keep it here while incorporating more events to make this a destination weekend for any historic automotive enthusiast.” Events could include a tour and even more classes of wonderful cars.

Seeing as many Concours shows are charitable organizations the Greystone Concours is here to preserve one of Los Angeles’ most recognized and unique estates in the whole of Southern California. “What many people don’t know is that their ticket purchase goes toward the preservation of the Greystone Mansion estate and park.” Said Jeffrey. “Our ticket price may seem expensive but your also included is access to gourmet food from Lawry’s and various beverage stations including Stella Artois, Asombroso Tequila and Jaffe Estate Vineyards.”

Taking in the field of vehicles on display, you can stumble across cars like a Lamborghini Miura, several examples of Mercedes-Benz 300sl gul-wings, Bugattis, Rolly-Royces and if you pay close attention vehicles 1 of 1, coach built by the best hands history can provide.

If you are looking for diversity, Greystone prides its self on their expanding motorcycle classes. This year’s best in show winner was a rare 1958 MV Grand Sport with the Best Antique being awarded to a 1964 Triumph Spitfire.

While Greystone is young amongst many highly coveted Concours shows across the world, it has firmly made its impression in the hearts and minds of historic auto enthusiasts for years to come. You can certainly consider us fans for the foreseeable future. See you next year May 5th, 2013; Cindo de Mayo if memory serves us right.
