Every year during the Pebble Beach weekend, people spend exorbitant amounts of money to drink champagne, wear ridiculous cloths and walk around amongst cars parked on golf courses. Meanwhile, just a few miles away, some of the best vintage racecars in the world are driven in anger on the track, while fans can get right next to them in the pits between races. You can rub elbows with current and retired professional drivers, mechanics and engineers all while stuffing your face with the crowd favorite Frog Dog. Put the Panama hat and the lime green pants back in the closet and see cars in their natural environment.
This 2014 Monterey Motorsports Reunion was as good as ever. Maserati was the honored marque and plenty of the trident badged Italians were on hand to celebrate its 100 year anniversary. The Reunion also featured the usual mix of Porsches, Ferraris, BMWs, Bugattis and everything else you can think of from the history of motorsports. You can find all the race results here.
Here presented here is a just a sampling of the endless sights to see at what is one of the best automotive events in the world every year. A big thanks to all who put it on, especially all the volunteers who donate their time so all of us can have a fun safe weekend.
