Irwindale Speedway welcomed the fourth edition of Dubfest (aka Waterfest West), one of the largest watercooled VW/Audi gatherings around. Title sponsors Volkswagen of America and Falken Motorsports provided a couple of Mk V Golfs for autocross testing throughout the day. It was a great opportunity for enthusiasts to step behind the wheel of arguably the best handling Golf platform to date. To broaden appeal, event promoters opened the doors to Porsches owners. In fact, the Porsche Club of America organized an autocross session on Irwindale's oval, open to all participants. Add to the equation a dyno test, a busy vendor area, which included many of the industry's brightest stars, plus a car show packed with great rides, and fans of German tin had all the reasons to spend a great day under the California sun.
